Planning Ahead for the Summer

I'll be posting more on this soon, but here's a reminder to check with your local theaters and see what kind of Family events will be happening.

I know Regal usually offers nine weeks of movies for free while other theater groups offer discount tickets or summer passes.

Mail Call!

This week has been a slow week for mail.
I'm actually a bit saddened when a day goes by that I don't get some sort of mail. It usually means I haven't been diligent enough in my deal seeking.

But, it was a good day today.

In my mailbox:
Local sales papers (This lets me plan my shopping trip.)
Free Tomato Seeds from Burpee- this was a surprise. I'm signed up for their catalog, but I don't recall asking for tomato seeds. I love surprise freebies from mailing lists.
Catalogs from both Smile Makers and Really Good Stuff. These are teaching supply stores and I like to see what I can get through their sales for homeschooling.

After playing a really amusing (well, it amused me, anyway) game, I realized there was a button where you could get a free sample of Tide with Dawn laundry detergent.

(And for the record, I do spend a lot of time playing the little promotional video games put out by companies to advertise products. They kill time and are usually really simple and a good diversion.)

Monday Mail Call!

I was pretty impressed to open my mailbox today and find a sample of Dove Deodorant in their new grapefruit and lemongrass scent. Expect a review on it after I've had a few times to try it.

Seven coupons from various websites for $2 off a box of Honey Bunches of Oats. This is Kyle's FAVORITE cereal and it bums me out when it costs too much to buy.

Three coupons for $2 off two Johnson's Buddies Products. These are only .99 cents each at Walmart. I'll be getting six of these on an upcoming shopping trip... for FREE.

Two coupons for $2 off any Kashi product. As much as I love cooking from scratch most the time, I do love my Kashi products.

If you've never visited startsampling.com, now is definitely the time. They always have some great freebies and samples listed and are updated fairly frequently.

• Free sample of Benefiber from Walmart. If you've never used Benefiber, it's an interesting idea. This fiber supplement is supposedly able to dissolve into anything, as it's supposedly tasteless, odorless, and has no discernible texture. Now's your chance to try it for yourself.
• Costco is providing it's members and non-members alike a free sample of Dove Go Fresh Cool Essentials: Green Tea and Cooling Cucumber Deodorant. (Whew! That's a mouthful!)
